Today, as we gathered, our dear sister Laura graced us with a poem she had written. With heartfelt humility, she introduced her newfound passion. As she began to speak, it felt as though she was entrusting us with her very heart. Each word she shared was a gift, pure and profound, moving me to tears. It was as if the heart of Jesus was laid before us. “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10.

"Both And

How can someone be both good and bad?

What is good and bad?

Creator and creation - creations complexity reflects the Creator’s mind and power

Redeemer and redemption

Both magnificent and marred

Our Creator God has both the right and authority to judge human sin that mars His magnificent creation

The wage of sin is death, both physical and spiritual

Both And - we ignore and reject God or fashion a god in His place, but God promised rescue from sin’s judgment and death, restoration through His Son

Both the penalty for sin is death and hallelujah Jesus is our substitute!

Jesus came to redeem and restore what sin infected

Both And

A great mystery

On my knees crying out I am both a fallen short sinner and a redeemed daughter of the King of Kings

Both saved and sinner

Mystery, mystery, mystery

We can both build our lives on the trustworthiness of God and come to Him with honest questions

Lord, you thrill and fulfill with both awesome holiness and lavish grace

After three days, Jesus rose from the dead as He said He would. His resurrection demonstrates His victorious deity, the sufficiency of His sacrifice for sin. His power over death and the guarantee of new life for all who believe in Him. Jesus’ resurrection gives eternal life and a new quality of earthly life by His Spirit who lives within His people, making them like Him.

We are both changed on the inside, reborn through faith in Him and transformed by His indwelling Spirit

Both and both and

Thank you, Jesus"
